In accordance with the current regulations and taking into account the adequacy between the competences and knowledge derived from the previous studies and the studies planned in the syllabus of the master’s programme, when the master’s academic committee deems appropriate, previous studies will be recognized as subjects studied in the master’s degree course. In all cases the maximum amount of recognized credits will have to be less than 50% of the total number of credits required for the master’s programme.
Credits completed by undertaking official degree courses, architecture or engineering can be recognized. Under no circumstances will the EPS recognize credits earned from diploma courses, technical engineering, technical engineering or similar bachelor’s degree courses.
Additionally, credits obtained from undertaking other official higher education or university courses leading to the awarding of degrees, may be recognized.
A demonstrated working and professional experience may be recognized as long as this experience is related to the competences of the master’s degree programme.
The number of recognized credits obtained from working and professional experience and non official university studies cannot exceed 15 per cent of the total number of credits required for the master programme.
